For years I have studies, admired, taught and consulted leadership based on Sir Ernest Shackleton experiences and character! Of special interest and in fact fascination was the voyage of the Endurance the vessel Shackleton sailed on in 1914 for the Antarctic Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. The Endurance was crushed by ice, causing her to sink on the morning of November 21, 1915 close to Antarctica. The incomparable story of survival of Shackleton and his team is a source of inspiration and endless current and relevant #g#inspiration leadership lessons. https://lnkd.in/eE6CwfE I am delighted to share that news reports state that: “Antarctic explorers are to break their way through 75 miles (120km) of sea ice in an effort to reach the final resting place of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ship, the Endurance.” https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/jan/27/antarctic-expedition-upbeat-about-hope-of-finding-shackletons-ship-endurance-weddell-sea https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6495372007734067200
