THE COLLEGE OF PUBLIC SERVICE (CPS) TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY HELD ITS 2nd ANNUAL PUBLIC SERVICE TIGERS COME HOME, NASHVILLE TN on Tuesday, October 15 as part of TSU’s 2019 Homecoming festivities.Initiated by Michael Harris PhD. The event was held at the Harold M. Love, Sr. Student Success Center, with over 50 students and Alumni. The event was a celebration of five notable alumni: Erica Richardson-Carter (BSUS), Community Manager, LHP Management; Monique Odom (MPA), Director, Metro Nashville Parks & Recreation; Richard Moore (MPS), Assistant Director, Training Division, TBI; Kala Simmons (MSW), Program Director, Middle TN Mental Health Institute; and Harold M. Love, Jr. (Ph.D.), Representative, District 58, TN General Assembly. Students in the College of Public Service becomes the leaders of tomorrow while changing the world today. Dean Harris emphasised the increasing need for the CPS and its graduates to assure social justice and enhance services to all that need safety nets. Out Democracy is measured by the well being in those who are in need of services.
